I am technoidiot's yank friend from the States. I am the one that turned her on to her new DSLR, the Pentax K-x for a variety of reasons. I am a professional photographer besides being a member of the clergy specializing in church architecture and art photography with a degree in that field from Rochester Institute of Technology. While I do not own any Pentax equipment at present, I have always had a respect for the brand and the equipment that has been produced. In fact, the last time I used any Pentax equipment was 35 years ago in secondary school, and it was my friend's equipment.
I am here to learn a little more and who knows, you make a convert yet on my next upgrade of equipment.
