Hi to every one.

I am the owner of a Pentax ME Super for many years and its still in perfect working order. Due to the new generation of digital cameras my old 35mm film version is now becoming obsolete.

I do have 3 lenses for this camera and am told that I may be able to still use them on the new digital SLR cameras.

Can any body please assist me as to if this is indeed possible and if so what model cameras may be able to use these lenses.

They are as follow : 28mm Takumar , 50mm Pentax and 80mm-200mm zoom Takumar.

Thanks very much !! Any specific model that can be recommended, that will be as reliable and user friendly, as my trusty old ME Super ??

If those are Takumar Bayonet lenses then they'll fit on any current Pentax DSLR just as they do on your ME Super. You might not want to use the 80-200mm as manual zooms can be a bit of a pain.

When you switch on with a manual lens the camera will ask for the focal length of the lens, in order to set the shake reduction up. Fine with primes, but with a zoom the changing focal length can be a pain as you have to switch off, back on, dial in the new length, etc. I do use an 80-200mm with mine but I tend to only use it set to 200mm.

Thanks will keep that in mind. I previously also very seldom used the zoom in any other mode than 200mm . I will have a look around as to what models are available on the market here
