got a car to fix first, but Dad and I are really hoping to be there later on. We want to play with the 645D!
PS little sisters K-x is fantastic, she loves it. I suspect she'll be back in for a macro prime as soon as she can gather the necessary resources.

As its tomorrow - any chance you can be more specific on what you'll have to play with / demo that's new? In particular - the K5...?

Can't justify the trip down tomorrow, so have a favour to ask the good people of PU who are attending....
If the firmware version is newer than models tested at Photokina (0.3 I think) can someone please check that the long exposure (over 30 seconds) dark frame exposure can be switched off?
Fed up of lumping the K10 around just for this ability, so it has become a 'must have' feature for me.

Well you can with the 0.3 firmware so hopefully they won't take it out.

Hmm, didn't the K-7 have manual video controls in pre-relaease firmware? Until K-5 V1.0 is here nobody knows... would appreciate it if anyone can help tomorrow.
Not that I know off although I know it had AF with video.Hmm, didn't the K-7 have manual video controls in pre-relaease firmware? Until K-5 V1.0 is here nobody knows... would appreciate it if anyone can help tomorrow.
What do you mean with manual controls btw?
You can set the aperture and the ev compensation (I believe)... I don't really see why you would want to have controls over the shutter speed or at least I don't see the use of it.
You would be limited to 1/30 or 1/25 of second max and because you see 30 frames every second you won't even notice the little blur you will get at 1/30 or am I missing something?

Not here for an argument, so let's not start one. Both aperture and EV are locked as soon as you start recording, whilst a true videographer may wish to manually change EV and aperture during recording. Video holds no interest for me but the point is I do recall something missing from K-7 final firmware that was in pre-production examples, be it manual video control, AF during video or something else. What do you mean with manual controls btw?

The option to turn off DFS has become a personal 'must have' and I'd hate to see it disappear, even if it doesn't matter to most other folk.
