It will be interesting to hear how you find the FAs. Will it be, "What's all the fuss about?" or "How did I manage without them?"

I'd like a go with the 60-250. I fully expect the IQ to be excellent, but I'd like to evaluate the focus speed in terms of my own shooting style.
Was this an Ebay job Lot John or did you buy them all separately

Congratulations on the lottery win!
The problem I found with the 60-250 is that it initially focusses very quickly but the fine tuning takes too long. I had too many OOF shots because it appeared that the shot was in focus but it was slightly out. Not always obvious at 250mm and f/4.0.
But that was on the K10d/GX20. Interesting to see if it's improved on the K5.

What a purchase John.
My advice to all, purchase all you need/can, before retirement.
As you will never be able to afford, it afterwards.
Trust me. (Retired old git).

I second that, it looks like a (Pentax) lottery win!
Very interested with a detailed "what I did with which lens" post in the future.
Twitter | Someone said time-lapse?
Pentax K5 | Samsung N9005 | DA 18-55 WR | DA 35 2.4 | DA 50 1.8
Tamron 10-24 SP | Tamron 90 2.8 Macro | Tamron 70-300 Macro
Samyang 85 1.4 ...and a few other manual lenses older than me.

Very early days yet, but the 77mm has had an initial outing. The 60-250mm was being used by Sue today and, interestingly, her first comment was that it focused very quickly. Considering some of the comments I've seen about this, it seems a bit of a contradiction.
I'll post some examples when there's time, but there's a lot of work on at the moment.
Best regards, John
