Sad news
there is no point dwelling on the past or on anyone's behaviours as only Richard himself will know why events turned out the way they did.
Assorted Pentax/Nikon/Mamiya stuff
Luck has not been on the side of this forum and it's members over this last few months, and I did think, a new year and a new start but yet again the cards we have been dealt have not fell kindly.
Like others, we can all remember the thread that David was referring to, as it was strange and worrying at the time and even more so now, but yet I saw the signs, I held off from joining in, sat back and watched from a far as I could tell this was someone that was troubled, but I did nothing, now looking back I am thinking all the what if's, maybe a quick Pm just to make sure all was alright.
So at this time I think David is correct in what he has posted, Smeggy 99.9% I am with you, but this time you have got it ever so wrong, We have lost yet another great photographer, whether a Pentax supporter or not, he was still a member of this forum, and a photographer the same as you and I.
So let's have a new start, maybe this week could be our new year and let's try to make it a good one, let's try to all get on, be there for each other, let the banter be friendly, the comments be kind and let's try to salvage some good from such a sad week.
Now all we need is a big group hug......

None of us can know what impact our word and deeds will have on the world around us, positive or negative. Retrospectively we can get feedback but that's about it. Although I can't remember ever conversing with Richard I did feel very uneasy reading the comments made about some posters interaction with him being in some way related (inferred in a very loose way) to the actions he took. Thats what I took from what was posted although it may not have been the intent (I or others dont know...only the poster knows the answer to that but what was typed "could" be interpreted as that. Emotions run high and it may very well feel good to offload (and you may very well feel that it needed to be said) but you're expecting too much to expect everyone to stay silent if they have interpreted your word as I did.
We can all agree this was a tragedy. Lets leave it at that
RIP Richard
