And on the subject of coming out again I have found another excelent location for possible future meets, unfortunately for those of you living in the wild country it still in Yorkshire, but we just spent the day there and I got loads of useable shots: link Cost a whopping £7 each to get in but well worth it.

Just opposite you can walk through an Arboretum down into Harrowgate. That should keep Ken happy.

Sounds okay. As its not too far north our midlands colleagues could just as easily get there as those from the far North East.

For those of us who find dragonflies a bit small for our non-macro lenses, its not far from Ferrybridge. Some whacking great cooling towers at the power station to be photographed there.

Farne Islands on July 24/25 is weather permitting, my plan is to do Staple Island in the morning, followed by Inner Farne in the afternoon.
Much also depends on the birds themselves - I don't normally leave it this late to go up there, usually end-June, beginning July, but given that I am travelling most weekends the options are limited.

If the tides are right you could also squeeze in a trip round Coquet Island from Amble £4 with Puffin Cruses, Seals, Roseate & Common Terns, Puffins, Unfortunately you cannot land on the Island.

Just head for the coffee shop. Meets tend to start there. Occasionally a picture is taken, but it's not compulsory!
