If you miss it, make a report. How about the "users browsing this forum" as well?

There seem to be one or two 'quirks' in how the various photographs display in this week's "Sleep" competition, particularly on page 2.

I can't read them all, because I take the time to memorize my favourite posts!

Maybe it is my monitor (19") but on page 1, the grey background is just wider than an 800 pixel wide image but on page 2, an 800 wide image overlaps the grey background, which is narrower.Belinda B. wrote:

Also some of the photographs, including mine, start some way down form the top of the post - there is a gap for no obvious reason.

It's because Martin's picture is 1,100 pixels wide. Probably posted when the forum was resizing images.George Lazarette wrote:

Help!
Trying to use the new forum search to find a thread from a few months back, but compared with the old search, the new one seems to be pants. Although it does allow some of the so-called advanced options, it doesn't give me the results I want, and there's no "show as posts" option.
I've mucked about for 15 minutes or so, now, trying various combinations of keywords - all to no avail. I used to be able to find what I wanted very quickly.
It was a thread where someone quite experienced with airshow photography gave some very useful hints on exposure. I'm going to Farnborough tomorrow, so I really wanted to re-read that thread.
Can anyone remember it, or who posted the info?
Many thanks to anyone that could post a link.

Ok, I hereby proclaim the forum search function to be garbage, until I see evidence to the contrary.
How many threads are there with 'Frontenac' in, or 'chateau'?
At least one, right?
Well the search doesn't find it with either of those keywords.
Perhaps the good people from the dev team could let us know how it's supposed to work, and whether they think it does or not.
But at the moment, it's looking to me like another one of those things that are left to the users in the live environment to test.
Amusingly, or perhaps not, Google can find the 'frontenac chateau' thread with no trouble at all.
I'll see if I can find the thread I'm looking for with Google - watch this space.

Found it!!!!!
It was this thread.
The poster was javam, who, as I now recall, posted some pictures taken with the Sigma 10-20.
I had a look at his website, which had some airshow photos - and I asked him about them.
My Google search was: "airshow siteentaxuser.co.uk"
Took me all of about 1 minute to find it.
Google: 1, Forum: pants

Your wish seems to have been granted - I see a mark all posts read button now.
