Well I`m a Pentax User subscriber and I have no logo under my avatar and I`m definately superior !!!

With regards to the subscription idea:
The Murdoch media empire recently decided to try this with some of their newspaper websites. Their visitor numbers dropped dramatically!
I just don't think a subscription-based forum will ever work nowadays. People will simply join a different forum or set up a Pentax group on their favoured social network site. Users of a forum already make contributions which could have a monetary value in the form of information, how to guides, etc which would probably make them a few quid if published by a paper magazine.

I don't have ads either. Nor do I have e-mail notifications for threads, only for PMs.
I just use the Recent Activity button to catch up on things here.

What about a big red button that says don't push, I can't resist buttons like that
No idea what it should actually do though... if it makes a nice button sound when you press it I'm happy ^.^

If you add a notification for a thread you will receive an email when someone responds to the thread. In the email is a link you click to reset the notification. This takes you a page with the ever-so-useful 'resetting your notification' message. It's that page that is infuriating because the adverts on it load so slowly and it won't redirect you to the thread until they finish loading. thoughton wrote:

Also, a bit OT but regarding your PS, you aren't depriving PU of revenue IF that the advert is a PPC advert. If it is a PPM advert (not uncommon on forums) then you are - albeit a miniscule amount .

Keep it going folks. Getting some really interesting stuff coming out. I don't mind at all that some of my original points have been thoughly bashed. If you don't raise the question you don't get a response.
Another niggle - sometimes I am half way through typing in a post and find I need to go back a page to refer to something - come back to the post and it's gone don't know why that happens.

I'd really appreciate a way of showing the members' Gallery shots as a slideshow. Nothing fancy, just a way of running through what people have posted without having to continually click on each image.

could we have the facility in the classified section to flag items when they are sold and for that information to remain in the header of the post, in the same way the same way that the Poll Questions work.

If you want a new section in classifieds then put it to those that matter by using the report problem/suggestion button.
One that is only visible to PU forum members must be possible.
