Beano first and foremost mowog , then Dandy,Topper,Wizard,Rover,Victor,Eagle,DC Comics,and eventually Mad Magazine and on to Private Eye.
I also used to "devour" copies of the war comics - War Picture Library - now asking £35 on Amazon/Ebay !!!!!

Actually, I imagine you looking like Desperate Dan (chest large). And being a Chef, you'd know how to make a good cow pie.
Aliengrove... Hammerite is a very good idea! I think car paint may be a bit too soft for cameras. I will try Hammerite on the next one. Trouble is, they don't seem to do many nice colours. Not in the smooth or satin finish sprays, anyway.

Aaaah !! I see the connection - sorry - 5ft 8 1/2in and 12 stone I`m afraid ( put on 2 1/2 stone after leaving the kitchen and stopping smoking 10 years ago ! ).

Blue Spotty only fetched £16. It seems people don't like painted cameras as much as I do!
The buyer hasn't paid yet, and I'm hoping he doesn't, so I can keep it... And maybe repaint it again.

Mine is currently undergoing a bit of a rethink, as the paint is flaking horribly. I'll evidently have to take it all off and start again. The camera doesn't cock on the first wind (but is fine on the second, third, etc) so I suspect it's only good for a parts donor like the black one I bought a while ago.
I have however just bought a jammed ME S which, assuming it's fixable, will gain the panels from my knackered black example. I'm considering attempting a gold finish on the resulting spare chrome panels, leaving me with sets of ME S panels in orange and gold awaiting working but scruffy cameras to be fitted to.
In the end I will have five of them - one chrome, two black, one orange, one gold!

I was thinking of repainting an mes that has seen it's best day's (cosmetically). But i've wondered how you guy's got the lettering on the camera's done?
Do you do the lettering before or after the paint job?
any input would be appreciated!
