Yes, I see what you mean.
Basically the K3 will only take a single shot if using the AF button to cancel the AF in AF.C mode even though I have the K3 set to Continuous Shooting (High).
Comprende ?

Is there nothing in the menu's to control the AF button?
i.e. Cancel for 1 shot or Cancel for all shots?

Just tried it. Same thing with mine. It will only take one picture if I hold AF to cancel autofocus in AF-C and burst mode.

There is only the original firmware for the K-3, no updates have been released yet (but we're only at week two so hardly surprising.)Is it not that the firmware is not up to date with useage of said apperatuse.

FPS priority, it shouldn't matter if I've set AF button to cancel AF, the camera should fire off a burst off shots as if in manual focus mode.what is "action priority" set to for AF.C? focus or FPS?
I think I'll have to start using back AF button to AF with no AF on shutter button.

I have the AF button set to cancel the AF, when I’m taking photos of rugby penalty kicks I’ll be in AF.C mode and I focus on the ball then use the AF button to cancel the AF then recompose the shot and fire off 5-6 shots when the player is taking the penalty.
Isn't this just making the camera behave in AF-S mode really?I have the AF button set to cancel the AF, when I’m taking photos of rugby penalty kicks I’ll be in AF.C mode and I focus on the ball then use the AF button to cancel the AF then recompose the shot and fire off 5-6 shots when the player is taking the penalty.
Couldn't you just switch modes during this period of play? Or configure a button to do this (sorry, not sure about how the K-3 focus modes are switched).

With my K5 I have the AF button set to cancel the AF, when I’m taking photos of rugby penalty kicks I’ll be in AF.C mode and I focus on the ball then use the AF button to cancel the AF then recompose the shot and fire off 5-6 shots when the player is taking the penalty.
I tried this with my K3 and it will only take a single shot even though I’m in Continuous Shooting High frame burst mode.
Has anyone else got this problem ?
