K-1's are on the way...

So who's going to be using existing lenses, and who's going to be buying new lenses?

Existing lenses for me so far.. Does anyone reckon the 24-70 or the 28-105 are with buying now?

I've traded in my 16-50 for the D-FA 24-70. Chris offered a good deal.
Otherwise i've been acquiring a reasonable set of FF glass:

The 3 x FA Limiteds
FA* 85mm
FA 20-35
Sigma 12-24
Sigma 70-200 HSMII
Sigma 150-500

I traded the 50-135 which was unacceptably slow to focus and got the 70-200 while it was very briefly at a reduced price. I traded my second 16-50 (long story why I had two) for the 24-70.

I consider SRS to have been extremely generous with the P/E. I have begun to wonder if Doug made a mistake.

I shall trade a K3, grip and hopefully flu card for the K1. The flu card must be worth next to nothing now but I was told it is no longer available so maybe it has rarity value.

In November SRS suggested I should buy a 24-70 and I said I couldn't see the point of it, that's because I had no intention of going FF. Six months on I am more excited about it than any previous purchase. Ricoh must have done something right.

I’ve adjusted my collection of lenses in anticipation of the K-1. I intend to buy the 28–105 as walk around.

Other than that I have a nice collection of mostly primes: F28, FA35, FA43, F50 f1.7, FA50 Macro, FA*85, DFA100 Macro and a FA100 Macro (I haven’t decided which to keep yet) and a Tamron 17–35 f2.8–4 and a Sigma 100–300 f4.

And I still have a DA35 Macro and will see how it works and whether or not to keep it, albeit for the K-01.

I used Pentax film SLRs from 1967 to 2004. But I no longer have any pre-digital lenses. In fact, all my lenses are currently in production.

So I am mostly having to re-build my FF system from scratch. (Except for pre-2015 FF lenses, such as the 100mm WR Macro and the DA* 300mm).

I already have the 150-450mm (since last May), and the 24-70mm and 70-200mm (this year). I pre-ordered the 15-30mm and 28-105mm when I pre-ordered the K-1.

In the next day or two, I hope to go from zero FF capability to comprehensive FF capability! If I can't take decent photographs with that, I'll give up photography and retire to a care home.

I'm sure I heard a sound a bit like Chris getting up to go check part exchange invoices as I read that bit

I was given more for the 16-50 than I have seen them go for on the classifieds here.

I have just two modern FF lenses and have ordered a 28-105mm; I was going to opt for the 24-70mm until I picked one up and realised it is too heavy for me as a general purpose lens. Whilst I have three DA lenses I don't see the point of using these on FF in crop mode as a permanent arrangement so I will be changing them when the opportunity arises. I am keen to swop for prime lenses and await with eagerness the new primes supposedly coming next year. Also rather fancy the Samyang tilt-turn lens.
