Tim what's the matter, stepped with the wrong foot out of your bed?
I truly said nothing interesting and I asked some genuine questions here, since when is that wrong?

Tell you what Stefan, go and buy your Android phone, then come back and compare it to the iPhone. Until you actually own one of these things your endless nitpicking is worthless.
Good will you buy them both
Or do I need to decide to pick one... if so I would need to ask some more questions though since I ain't sure.
They both have their positive and negatives.
iPhone is more solid but android looks more fun.
Because Operating Systems are a whole load of fun...

Seriously though, so much of what you say is utter speculation delivered as if it were gospel. If you were only allowed to post on things you had first hand experience of I think that post count would be a lot lower...
If you can't say something nice about Pentax, you won't say anything at all.

Apparently.

Sorry Tim, I meant will you buy them both for me, I would love to have them.

Why I'm asking questions about the iPhone 4, I already wrote that twice here (so who is ignoring answers?) because it's a stunning phone and i want to buy one.
Why did I once mention Android, because their new 2.2 OS seems to be a lot of fun and I like the OLED screen of the samsung phones and I want to buy one.
The problems is I can buy one so what now?

Why did I mention HTC diamond because like most smartphone it has a 260DPI screen and the resolution is already so great that the 326DPI is a bit of an overkill but a nice one to have

About the trolling, you mean my conversation with Unlocker?
I'm not ignoring that for one bit, where did I do that?
And you're trolling now bring back old threads from previous year just to poke me.

Just stop it Tim, I did nothing wrong here.

Yeah there is some speculation but the iPhone is pretty much locked and you need to jailbreak it I believe to do some interesting things with it.

Form what I understand from my questions and I thank Unlockers answers is that the iPhone a solid phone that works perfect and reliable, and they take great care of their system and their own apps, they simply work and that can more often than not be said of the competition.

Android seems to be much looser in terms of how far you can customize it and play in the codes of the OS and that's what i meant more fun, It looks like you've a lot more potential to experiment with it then the iPhone but that comes with the price of reliability and protection.

At least that's what I meant.
I did not said one is better or another only that there are choices to make and I wished I could get them both

Robbie if we need to experience everything then a lifetime wouldn't be long enough.

You're quoting the wrong comment since that was actually a duplicate post needed for Tim and the first comment was an observation and nothing else, is that wrong to write that down?

Tim lets forget this okay, there is much more going on then this thread and I don't want to discuss that here since it's all in the past for me. In Dutch we have a saying that you shouldn't pull old cows from the ditch so lets not do that. I was wrong a great deal a couple of times but we are further now.

Please tell me what went wrong in this thread because I can't believe it was the comment about Nikon that did it. Just point the comment that did it or part of text so that we can move on and have a beer or something.
K10D has said it many times already so maybe it's time to do that.

Don't own either, but of those two I'd have the Google Nexus any day. Allowing one company to dictate which software I can and cannot use on my property is too creepy for my liking.

Well I'm going against the grain here and taking the google phone. I'm not in need of music, but more of an organizational device + phone. It just somehow seems more geeky, aka - me. That, and I was working on my mac today and it crashed. Twice. Yay! No flash either, but I suppose HTML5 will catch on sometime in the future.

I dunno, I'll let you all know how I get on with it.

Must ask.

Your website states 'Thus this site will focus more on reviews, game guides, photography and so on.'

This means to me that you are a gamer, as you intend to be blogging about 'game guides'

The following currently available gaming consoles dictate to you which software you can use:-

Microsoft XBox 360
Sony PlayStation 3
Nintendo Wii
Sony PSP
Nintendo DS

In a nutshell, basically every gaming machine has been using the 'dictate which software I can and cannot use on my property' policy for years before the iPhone was invented. This is not a new idea.

The iPhone has well over 50,000 games available for it, 1,000's of which are free, more than any other platform, in fact more than all the other handheld gaming platforms put together.

As someone who obviously enjoys games, can you really expect me to believe that you do not own any gaming console, or never have?

Google also uses the 'dictate which software I can and cannot use on my property' policy as they also ban some apps from their App store.

Could you please tell me what your point is?

But you're free to download and install apps outside the android store right?

I'm really going to get that whisky now

You're also free to run any web app on the iPhone, or HTML5 app etc.etc.

Yeah okay Danny but that's something else then really installing an App and that's what we're talking about I believe.

They have these rules link
But you're still free to offer besides the Android Market.

It's a bit like you're excusing Andoid Market of not having any liquor while you can legally buy it in the store next to it, if you get my drift.

ps. you know I said it in the free spirits of things

They updated that line a couple of months ago so indeed good lucky maybe you get a new speced one
Thats the argument believe me, the goal is to walk out with a new i7. Surely 3 out of 3 laptops with graphics card faults is proof that they are not good enough! Bad nVidia. Bad!
Update:

Even though last one was bought in Sep '09, they did swap it like for like for a new i5. Took the opportunity to upgrade to an i7 and 8GB RAM as well. Just need to save up for an SSD now!

Just to throw another spanner into the works, I have an HTC HD2, yes a windows phone.

Does everything I need, calls people, text people, emails with push, facebook in full site version & I can plug it into my laptop to use it's internet connection. Oh it also has Google maps & a marvellous 4 inch screen with 800 pixel resolution to play my DIVX movies. It also has a 1ghz processor so everything just works fast & smoothly.

My kids have had all the Iphones so far & drawl all over my large screen. Their Iphones have also been back to Apple numerous times for various repairs under warranty. But the best thing of all, when I am out in the field like at Glastonbury for a week with no power, I can remove the dead battery & insert a new fully charged one. That to me is far more important than any App in Apples App store...

Depends on what OS you want and you want to do with it.

The Samsung galaxy is an older model the new one is the Galaxy S and there is a cheaper version of that called the Galaxy Apollo on the way as well.
So if you wait a bit longer you've more to choose from.
