A very strong image, although the lack of foreground gives it a 2D elevation effect, but perhaps that was the intent :

I like it, but wish there was just a bit more space on the right, as the tree's branches are just nipped off.

I just checked the original large file and there is exactly the same amount of space on either side with no branches nipped off so perhaps your browser is cropping the image slightly:I like it, but wish there was just a bit more space on the right, as the tree's branches are just nipped off.
Glad you both like it. Thanks, K.

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

I agree with Hyram, a very strong image. And I think the crop is fine.
I had a quick play with it in Photoshop and did like this variation:

Very nice Prieni. You have essentially applied a graduated filter to it is PS?
I tried making the sky darker but hadn't thought of a grad-type effect.
Best wishes, Kris.

I like the stark effect of the trees against the sky, the sharpness of the branches and twigs makes for a graphic image. Tne silhouetted farm animals are good but perhaps would have been stronger if at least one of them was right up on the horizon to create a stronger outline. I like Ralf's darkened sky.

I really like, especially Prieni's edit.
Also did anyone else notice the trees appear to spell the word "PIN"? I'm sure with some clever PSing they could spell something else.

Dunno how I missed this at first. It's fabulous!
I like both versions. The contrast against the white sky in number 1 is very striking, but on the other hand Ralf's graduated grey sky creates a wonderful atmosphere.

I like the idea of the bare trees silhouetted against the winter sky.
However, I also think the part silhouettes of the sheep are not strong enough and so distract from the stark image. I also think that three trees would work better than four.

I know what you mean about the sheep. I stood and willed them onto the horizon but in the end had to get a move on or I wouldn't have finished my walk before dark.
Thanks all, K.

I'll go back and plant one. If someone could get their future grandchildren to go and take the photo I'd be grateful...
