Just a sunset

Hello
I've not long had my K100D, my first digital SLR, and I'm just starting to work out what it can do. I took this the other day in 'sunset' mode, just as the light was fading and the rain clouds were piling up over the hills. I didn't tweak it in any way in iPhoto. If anything the colours are more muted than the original.
Hope you like it

Interesting contrast of features and colours in the sky, very nice. Shame about the slightly cluttered silhouetted roof line.

Nice capture of the sky, certainly a good start to your DSLR journey

Took the liberty of embedding your image (hope this works!)

The formation and colours in the cloud is very nice, well taken.

Combining industry with nature can sometimes be very effective. I saw an image a few days ago by a very young photographer with beautiful cloud patterns (almost purple in colour) with a sillhouette of a power station below. Very effective indeed and I gave the young bloke the praise he deserved!
2x K10D bodies, 2x FA 28-200 3.8-5.6, DA 18-55, A 50 F2, 50mm Macro, 360 FGZ. Still saving for the 60-250 DA* Also have a Z10 35mm and a K1000 just for fun. IF PENTAX IS THE ANSWER, WHO CARES WHAT THE QUESTION IS...!

Amazing colour there, indeed a shame about the rooftop but just name it a feature and don't worry about it

Thanks for helpful comments.
Actually I've got some shots with less in the way of roofs etc . For example:this one
But in the end I kind of liked the little bits of clutter because it gave a sense of the vertiginous scale of the cloud.
Cheers
Jeff
