The colour for me. I find the banding too pronounced in the B&W

mmm, that was something that was concerning me about the picture to be honest, the light coming through the blinds is a bit noticeable in both.The colour for me. I find the banding too pronounced in the B&W
Maybe I should have another go, I'm not too hot on portrait type shots.
Wonder if they could make do with a macro of his eye

Colour here too, the fact that it is to be a gift to his Mother colour defiantly as that is the way she will think of him. There are times when greyscale portraits work well but in this case the colour is best.

In my opinion, colour is ok and is far better than convertion to B&W. If you'd like get nice b&w photographs, use a negative film; for example Kodak Tri-x.

For a personal portrait, for a member of the family, the colour works the best. In fact the warm colours work very well for a Christmas portrait. Whilst I would prefer the colour photo without shadows, the shadows are soft and it is still a pleasing portrait.

Can't decide if I should print it in colour or mono .. I quite like the colour while my wife prefers the B&W.
