First attempts using the Tamron teleconverter

Taken in the cold today using my Tamron 70-300mm & the Tamron x1.4 Pz-AF MC4 Teleconverter.

Looks good to me Colin, how does it compare with a crop from the same lens?

I'd be interested to see what the TC looks like with your 50-200mm lens. You can see some purple fringing in the shot (around the outline of the dog, and the ears).
I've also got both lenses, and find the image quality of the 50-200 far better than the 70-300.

Thanks Greytop, it was so cold and the owner of the dog was cold and watching me photograph his dog, so could not remove the TC.

Hi geclinke, will be trying out the TC on the 50-200mm next week, but I think there is one in this shoot, will check out and post when my grandchildren have gone home.

The next time I go out it will be just with the 50-200 & TC to test the combination.
