I'm like JR - I've tried a number and most are piled up in the spare room now. The one I am currently addicted to is the Slingshot 200AW (http://products.lowepro.com/product/SlingShot-200%20AW,2035.htm).
The biggest problem I've had with waist, bum, reporter type bags is easy access when you want to change lenses. The sling type bags work brilliantly in this regard as you don't even have to remove the bag, or fold over a flap, to change a lense and access is simple and convenient.
I may upgrade to the 350 AW as I could get two more lenses in and an iPad / notebook. But the temptation is always to put in more than you need !
When going on a shoot, in the 200AW I have (or similar) :
K5, K7, DA*300, 50-150, 43 Ltd, 17-50, Metz 50 (this lays on top of the K5 with attached 50-150 with a small cloth in between). The other pockets can take all the substantial amount of bits and pieces I need and there is an integral raincover stowed in the base.
When I arrive on site I use two Black Rapid singles (I prefer these to the double harness as I can always take one off if I wish) and then the bag is accessible for lense changes (as otherwise the Metz would get in the way).
Tamrac make some nice bags like these too.

I've the Think Tank Retrospective 10 now, it's more then big enough, if i manage the bag a bit better i should be able to fit every lens i have in it plus the flash
So it's bigger then it appears on the inside and that's a good thing!
The quality is also great and there are so many pockets that you've no idea what to put in it after a while
You've the main space for the lens and camera, that one has on each of the smaller sides 2 pockets that fit a normal lens (DFA100 fits i believe) or a flash in each.
Then on the long sides on the back there is a thin pocket with a zipper, good for the camera manual and thin things like that for example and then on the front there is an open pocket with Velcro and that one has the standard divider for SD cards, batteries, pens and things like that.
Than there is a big pocket at the front of the bag, it looks like it's a big enough for a simple rain jacket.
on the smaller sides on the outsides there is also a pocket and a loop, for compact camera, MP3 player and things like that.
And there is a quite big pocket with a zip on the back that should fit a small laptop, some magazines or books.
Like said in the reviews, the bag is a bit floppy and that's a good thing because the lenses and camera might move a bit but they will settle down securely, with a rigid bag they will bounce all over the place...
The strap is very comfortable to wear and the bags feels really light compared to the large Crumpler...
I might make some photo's later this week if someone wants to see it?

I also hang my Da* 50-135 from one of the bum bags in it's soft case. I've cut two vertical slots in the case so I can slot a bum bag belt through. Similar with the case for my 135-400 Sigma.
I sling two K-5s over my shoulder.
This way I can go out with 2 bodies and upto 5 lenses even in summer when I'm wearing shorts and T-shirt.
Everything is at quick access and except the cameras nothing is slung over my shoulder thus I can move around freely.
