K-5 + 18-55mm or 16-45mm + lens hood, spare battery, torch, paracetamol, case of empty SD cards, case for full SD cards, 55-300mm + lens hood, 12-24mm + lens hood, 35mm f2.4, 100mm Macro + lens hood, maps, model release forms, pen, any other documentation, and there would still be a bit of room left for odds and ends.
I don't usually carry quite that much, but that is what is possible if needed.

For me the secret of a good bag is one that's easy to carry, easy to get access to (this puts most backpacks out), roomy inside but with the minmum of wasted space. Kit should be held securely and firmly, but not so much so that it's hard to remove.
It's a very personal thing, which is why we have a cupboard full of unused bags....I must eBay some of them.

I'm with you though John, a bag must be a pleasure to use or else you won't use them at all...
That looks like a big bag but the profile is low to the body it seems though but i think the 10 should be better.
I'm actually thinking the 5 might be big enough if i leave the flash out or use another pocket for it...

I'm with you there Stefan! The ten looks good but if you can sort out the position for everything the 5 is the ideal size for a small kit, I have my eye on it too for my K5 with just the DA Ltd's, basically so I can have my Camera with me all the time.
Cheers Jules...

Just for the two DA* lenses and the K5 it should be big enough but if i would add a flash i'll be in trouble... i think i might get the 10

Big fan of the 10, not too big not too small.
If it looks right it is right.
Let me know how you get on Stefan because I may be travelling down the same road soon, with the bag and similar Lenses...

"And the wheel," said the Captain, "what about this wheel thingy? It sounds a terribly interesting project."If it looks right it is right.
"Ah," said the marketing girl, "well, we're having a little difficulty there."
"Difficulty?" exclaimed Ford. "Difficulty? What do you mean, difficulty? It's the single simplest machine in the entire Universe!"
The marketing girl soured him with a look. "All right Mr. Wiseguy," she said, "you're so clever, you tell us what colour it should be."
Something like that

We put lenses and flashguns and more like that into our Hadley Pro bags and have no problem, so that's a bit mystifying.
So i can see that you can struggle.
