Having rented the D-FA 70-200 from SRS it's now on my want list. Just need to find one within budget (£1k max).
Best regards, John
Sigma 28-70 F2.8 EX DG
Sigma 135 - 400mm F4.5-5.6 APO
Pentax DFA 50mm F2.8 Macro
Samsung equivalent of the Pentax DFA100 F2.8 Macro
Sigma 15mm F2.8 EX Fisheye (great fun, especially in that LR5 recognises it and can correct the fisheye distortions!)
Of these the Sigma 28-70 is my walk-about default.
Of my non FF lenses I am only using the Pentax HD DA 55-300MM F4.5-6.3 ED PLM on my K-1 which at some lengths appears to be FF.
Other FF lenses that I can fall back to but have not tried other than doing a quick single test are:
Pentax FA 28-200 F3.8-5.6
Pentax FA 28-105 F3.2-4.5
Sigma 28mm F1.8 EX DG
Pentax FA 50mm F1.4
Pentax FA 28-80 F3.5-5.6
I have yet to try my Sigma 600mm mirror lens on the K-1

Looking to plug the gap between 100 and 300 with a Tamron 70-200. Currently that range would be filled by my DA* 50-135mm in APS-C mode.
All the gear with no idea
D-FA 100mm macro
50mm f1.8
Since, I have acquired:
D-FA 28-105mm for general purpose
D-FA 150-450mm for which I traded a Sigma 150-500mm
D-FA 15-30mm f2.8, love this lens and just bought the Lee Filters SW150 kit to fit
I am reluctant to buy another of the zooms due to the weight in the bag although am tempted; waiting impatiently for the new primes and fisheye zoom promised in the roadmap and for which my aps-c compatible lenses will be traded.
So current line-up:
D-FA 24-70 f2.8
DA* 60-250 f4 (works well with minimal vignetting)
FA*24 f2
FA 31 LTD f1.8
FA 43 LTD f1.9
FA 77 LTD f1.8
FA* 85 f1.4
DA* 300 f4 (FF compatible)
F 1.7X AF converter
A 2X-S converter
I still have the DA 40 f2.8 and DA 70 f2.4. I have not tried these yet on the full frame format and may well put these up for sale as I don't need the focal lengths.
If I want to go wider than my lens line-up I can use the M 20 f4 and A 16 f2.8 Fisheye from my "collection"

Also have DA 70 and DA 40 which seem to work well on FF.
Would be nice to have the 15-30 or alternative wide lens. Price/funds currently holds me back.

I'm still going through the lens collection to find which ones perform particularly well on the K1 but I have to say that I'm surprised how many of the older lenses really do perform well with such a high resolution digital sensor. Some of the wider lenses do show their age towards the edges unless stopped down, but probably my most used lens at the moment (for Grandson shots in particular) is the DA* 55 - it'll be interesting to see how the new D FA* 50/1.4 outperforms it

I started slimming down after realising I was only using a few and with the departure of the 15-30 last week I currently have just the 24-70 and 31mm....
I'm eyeing the possibility of a 150-450, not sure I'd use it for wildlife but I've enjoyed playing with similar Sigma/Tamron lenses for Cityscape and Landscape and I'll probably pickup another wide angle Samyang 14mm or Irix 15mm perhaps.
May add a couple of other primes, I've given thought to selling the 31mm and adding the much cheaper 35mm f2 FA but theres something about the 31mm I just love!
Body wise I'd like to add a KP... a few of those APS-C primes would fill some of the "gaps" in the full-frame prime line-up for me at the wide end.
I think I would get fed up of carrying a K1 + 24-70. It seemed a very heavy combination at the NEC Ricoh stand. The 28-105 was more tolerable.
I preferred the balance/weight of another marque's FF body and 24-120.

Surprised that more people haven't mentioned the FA 50mm f1.4.

I quite liked the 50 FA and now my 43 is gone i might look for a cheap one.
Agree with you in the 28-105, it's great to carry when travelling and it's a great sharp lens, but wish it was a 24-105.....

That covers most eventualities. I don't carry them all at once - some are studio use, some are special purpose such as the long zoom, but the package is tolerably light to carry. Actually, now I write it down I realise there are more lenses there than I thought.
What has everyone else assembled so far?
Best regards, John
