BUM .

I was going to book a weekend in the UK to take his nibs to the National Computing museum so he could be reunited with WITCH to mark his 4 day retirement. I was wondering why there were so few rooms available, and why they were so expensive. So I looked at the Silverstone site, and there is an endurance race that weekend. Everything explained.

Now we could stay with my brother of course, but it's not quite the same is it?

Ah well, have to wait until later in the year, since he starts work again on April 15 .

Bit of a sciatica moment here on the sofa. I`m gonna have to try some screen wash mixed with Mathersons (40% extra free) ginger wine just for anaesthesia!

I do like bank holidays. I get to work so much faster.

The poor motorbike must be feeling very neglected. Not managed to get on all week.
I put the Beema back on the road as of the first of March...

I could have saved a month's tax if this weather had given warning..

Still, it's only nine hours to the (long) weekend.

We seem to be getting fresh snow overnight in the east of the city. It means that until lunchtime the first couple of miles are pretty unsafe, after that it's fine.

So annoying. If I could leave later or we lived closer to the bypass I'd be fine.

But during school holidays it's faster by car anyway. The bike saves me a few minutes in traffic, but the time to get in and out of clothes and to wheel the bike to the front of the house is far more of a disadvantage.

Still, according to the Met Office, Spring is due soon. I think they were saying the third week in April.

We got it too - but it's vanishing now

The ground was wet - but that stuff was sitting there on fences and roofs .

I'll be heading out soon to get my weekly food shop done. Poor Freda - she gets filthy so I get her washed and she gets filthy again . OK she's meant to work hard and she does , but I DO like to keep her looking decent and she just looks soo uncared for now.

Looking at the long range weather forecast. Summer will be on 3rd August from 1133hrs until 1427hrs UTC after which Winter will commence. Autumn has been cancelled this year due to Global Warming and banker's Bonuses.

If that could be shifted to 1500hrs until around 2000hrs on the same day I'd appreciate it greatly... Got plans...

I think the colour that makes you feel Super Cool and fills you with confidence Stan. Maybe it's a bit like the wife/girlfriend putting on her make-up and feeling more confident to face the world? :
Best regards, John
