I gave up on TV last night. BBC1 was even dumber than normal, with, amongst other less than promising offerings, Richard (expletive deleted) Hammond being overpaid, yet again, for talking a bad show together badly, and so on.
Dutch and Belgian TV was no better so the TV went off. That seems to be how it spends most evening now .

I was using Google Translate to see whether the title on my DVD boxed set of The Rogues was accurate. I put in Gauner gegen Gauner and it promptly translated as....The Rogues.
It's a curiosity that the old classic TV boxed sets are often Dutch or German, with the alternative of the English soundtrack. My Avengers sets are Dutch.
It seems the DVD industry there is a little more adventurous than the UK.
Algi mentioned the new Famous Five spoof. Dreadful. They were not aware that George was a cousin either, not a sister, which is a glaringly basic error. They made it with no soul in it, IMHO of course.

The programs that are scheduled for mid week, mid evening (9ish!) viewing look more promising.
There's a couple that may get recorded to watch next weekend when the 'hard of thinking' schedule is on. After all, that thing with animal videos was so bad my cat went out! And as for what's his face with the hidden cameras, I know where they can shove them, and he wouldn't like it much!

My sister bought me the Lovejoy boxed set for Christmas.
All 71 episodes , I'd only seen about 10 so being about
an hour long they are very handy for when there's nothing
on worth watching.
