We had cock-a-leekie pie. The left over leg meat from last night, with leeks in a white sauce and topped with puff pastry.

I was sent this link showing bulldogs on their surf, snow and skate boards. Amazing, especially the skateboarding.

Who knew bulldogs could be so energetic?

It's usually quite easy to train animals using treats, cattle prods whips etc.

Bah Humbug Stan, have you taken a miserable pill or something?

Those dogs are clearly having fun. I wouldn't have posted it if I thought they were under any duress.

Skateboarding was invented by a dog
Half Man... Half Pentax ... Half Cucumber

that's another story Gareth...

Just got back from the first Xmas shopping foray, Whiterose at Leeds, Not too busy but mind numbingly tedious!

All the shops have dragged last year's leftover stock out and got total crap in as new stuff...

......to quote a certain character where Christmas is concerned...

....Bah humbug!

The left over veg from this evening will go in tomorrow to bulk it out
You have food left after a meal
He did says left over veg. Which isn't food.
Despite the best efforts of Lady HG and myself we had some veg left over, which is now in the stew and simmering on the stove.

The left over chicken went in sandwiches and I'm just about to do some Yorkshire puds to go with the stew...

....big ones that will take the stew and provide a good filling tea in this cold weather.
So for the first time in a long time, I decide to check in on this post to see how it's doing (I'm tremendously proud of Papa HG's success in making such a rambling topic) and THIS is what I find? My very own father bragging about his amazingly scrumptious Sunday tea and the always delectable Monday night stew to follow!

Way to rub it in my face Dad! Thanks. I guess I'll just have to wait for when I come home for Christmas to eat you out of house and home and drink all your precious alcohol! Mwahaha!!! -Insert maniacal laughter here-
Whatever my Dad's got in the house...

Honesty, the most important thing to remember is that however independent you may be it is both your right and responsibility to get back home, make a mess, eat and drink whatever you can find, and treat the place like a hotel.

Don't forget - never pick up anything or offer to help in any way whilst still telling your parents how hopeless they are and how little they understand life!

She already knows that Gareth!

We're looking forward to the 14th, that's when Honesty will be home to start emptying the food and drinks cupboards!!
