Been out today - Worldwide Photowalk [ badgered into it by PhotoMonk as he's disgusted at the lack of use my camera has had this year ]

Was actually very enjoyable - a mere 100 photos 'bagged' in the two hours , quality variable and the skies were ghastly , but I've some types of shots I've never tried before .

I'm knackered and I suspect I'll suffer from it tomorrow - Pics will come later

Thank you everyone. It has been a good day. We enjoyed our pancakes (I had smoked salmon, yummy), and then as the weather brightened up we all went for a stomp in the woods.
Sadly oldest son couldn't make it after all, but the other two were there and the grandkids.

One son gave me a box of Wadden Island cranberries (they'd just come back from a couple of days on Vlieland), the other a bottle of wine with cheese from a local farm. I'd said I didn't want just stuff so I was very happy with the consumables .

Nothing from his nibs though .

She's doing reasonably well and thanks everyone for their thoughts etc

Spent my Amazon birthday token last night.... Off to the wilds of Hampshire for the weekend. Hope I remember to pack everything.

Thanks for asking Cedric. The rash is completely gone, but there is still quite a bit of residual pain, and I am still surprisingly tired.
Not been far in the new car yet. Not had the weather for it sadly. I am hoping to get out for a day out at the weekend if the weather improves. Maybe to the local arboretum.

Will be staying with my wife`s Aunt & Uncle at Fleet. Hopefully we will have the walk around Fleet Pond as usual. It`s such a tranquil spot with barely the drone of traffic on the M3. An amazing spot in such a sea of suburbia. Will have only a couple of days to try out my new toy before we go. Glad the rash has gone Gwyn. Hope the pain subsides very soon.

Woohoo! thanks HG glad someone asked. Despite having both a K20 & K5 I have ordered an X5 just as a general walkabout, ever ready jobbie.

I'm on Jonny Walker Red Label. Have to say it's going to take some getting down.

I think winter is nearly here. I think summer must be long gone.
