I only recently found out that you only need to over 50 to get the pensioners special in Billy Murg's!

And I've been paying full price!!

However, I'm full of curry and ready for bed.

No you don't, you just think you do..

... on the other hand though...

My new toy arrived this morning, nothing to do with cameras for a change, it's a Raspberry Pi.

It's arrived in time for me to leave it alone while I troll off to Wales for 4 days(don't ask, just don't!)

HG, I am none the wiser as to what a Raspberry Pi is.
Now if it had been a raspberry pie I'd have known what to do with it .

I hope you have packed your snorkel for your trip to Wales .

Raspberry Pi, credit card sized computer.

It works well, all I need to do is get my head around Linux.

Someone has too much free time on their hands.

Getting Linux to work is easy. Getting it to do what you want is hard!

We've recently had 10Mb fibre-optic broadband installed by Qtel, our friendly internet service provider (no choice there, there's no-one else). It's great, runs much slower than the previous connection, at less than half a meg, that's when it works at all. The service engineer sent to look at it told us that the very cheap Chinese router was installed upside-down too near the floor, and that it shouldn't be by the front door anyway. That's the last we've heard from them, two months ago, despite repeated complaints and assurances. The TV package we ordered 2 months ago has still not been installed either. Aren't monopolies wonderful?
