Was watching the Derby - splendid result for the O'Brien's - father and son taking the race . First time that has ever happened.

My husband had always been rooting for the girl jockey - ever since he saw her in her first ride as an apprentice - but it was not to be her day - pity

Not done any celebrating yet Barrie, the wife was working today so I sat on my lonesome and watched about 6-7 episodes of The Walking Dead, And I'm saving my alcohol allowance for a Jubilee party on Monday so I can toast Her Majesty's health, (several times of course)

The signal relies on helicopters or blimps acting as relay stations. When there is low cloud they can't fly or are above the cloud which makes the signal more difficult. Nothing to do with digital. Have a look at something like the Tour de France sometime and see how that breaks up in cloud.

Digital TV does break up but that is not due to the cameras, but the transmitters/receivers and even you TV.

Meanwhile I just checked my calender to make sure it really is 3/6 not 6/3 since it is so bloomin' cold here. Shades of 1953 all right!

Switched over to SKY seems better.... but still Wet!
The big problem with digital is the compression, if they lose
key frames it takes some time to reconstruct the picture

From me too.

Today was the coldest June day since 1975. It was so cold I lit a fire this afternoon.
Now I seem to remember 1975 was a nice summer so I am hoping that 2012 will get it's skates on and provide another fine summer. Doesn't look like I'll be escaping the footie in the garden though. Unless I wear thermals, a cagoule and sit under a brolly that is .

Edit - just read it was the same temperature today as it was on Christmas day
