Twente have just won the title here. My husband works in Hengelo so he expects most of his colleagues to be at the stadium in Enschede rather than at work tomorrow.

Nope, it's more than charming. It's good value, excellent food and great atmosphere.
That and one of only two in Bradford to get in the guide.
I'd give it the Pentax seal of approval.

No. Hengelo?
Is he in the gas industry?
It's mostly salt around Hengelo, but he's not in that industry either.
He started off in the Space Industry, doing on-board software, then moved on to chips, and is now a consultant, a qualified Quality Auditor, though he designs the quality systems nowadays. He worked at Eurocontrol for years and is currently at the other major employer in Hengelo making sure missiles and the like do what the software intended they should.
I personally am shocked by this as I married a pacifist who would never do defence work. However beggars can't be choosers and it's a contract that will see him to his pension.

The reason I asked was that we make some special bearings for rather large pumps there.
We make a 6 ton shaft float in mid air.
I was in defence electronics most of my career, and although it wasn't my first choice I lived with it as what I was doing meant they were more likely to kill the intended target with the minimum collateral damage.

That certainly sounds impressive!
A few years back we went to Boston for this company - the US immigration guy asked why we were visiting - I said holiday, husband said work. So we explained I was tagging along. What work asks the IG - defence says my husband. Who's - yours or ours? asks the IG

We went to America many years ago. My sister was asked what she did and she replied that she was with the police. They asked her if she had a gun and she replied no. They looked a bit baffled for a while then offered to get her one.

On one of my US trips I was asked the reason for my visit and I replied "to visit my girlfriend". The immigration lady then turned over the customs declaration and said "you'll be in trouble, you haven't bought her a present"! Makes a change from being asked when we are getting married, I guess.

US immigration do seem to be developing a sense of humour at last. The last two visits they were friendly, joking and one even apologised for us having to wait an hour in the queue .
Is the weather as cold and miserable where you are as it is here??

I was only going on the star on the door as we went in!
It definitely is in the Michelin guide though, but I can't find the web site!!!
It has a pair of "crossed spoons" meaning it is a slightly charming restaurant.
