Never been to the States.
But we have been stopped my UK customs, they wanted to know where we'd been.
When we started listing the countries we'd travelled through the guy stopped us, thanked us for our co-operation and let us go.
Another Bank Holiday over, it's back to work properly today, and the sun's shining.

Sun is trying to come through and I have to head into Town today .
Can't take camera with me - no room for the K-x when I have a pile of shopping to do
On my way in, the wee Optio P70 is going in the post to SRS - looks as if it has a sensor problem , and it would have been the ideal camera for today

Lovely day in Chester so far. Shortly off to a conference at Manchester airport, will be getting a tour of Concorde, not sure whether tro take the K20.
You probably wont need the 12-24 for the interior anyway, it's suprisingly small inside. (Go on - ask me how I know.)

Very poky inside. No I never got to fly on it, but I did get to go on board the first BA one at Heathrow, when they had a family day before it started service.davex wrote:

My youngest brother got a trip on Concorde for his 40th birthday from my eldest brother - me? I got a bottle of cheap Champagne. And I don't even like Champagne

Ah Gwyn - that wasn't nice - bet they got you that so they could drink it themselves.
Champagne is the only thing that gives me a headache - so I don't drink it

the snow was in Helsinki (where I work). Here in Lahti it just rained.
And now my dentist pulled a wisdom tooth. Yay!

What a weekend, wicked barbecue on Saturday evening. Trouble is I got downwind of an agricultural sprayer so now have flu like symptoms by the shed load. Must remember to take antihistamines as soon as I get a whiff of spray. Telly went on the blink bigtime but then it was 4 years old. Got a very easy ok from me tripod holder when the telly salesman offered a blue ray player for under a hundred. Was going to wet the paddles again but afraid I was too ill.

It was too wet here for a barbecue.
I would hope a telly would last longer than 4 years .
Friday was a bank holiday here, and wet, Saturday and Sunday were worse. Yesterday no better and bloody cold - 7C maximum!
We were supposed to go for a day sailing with my son on his ship on Sunday, but he got the keys to his new house on Friday so spent the weekend moving. Not good moving weather, but worse sailing weather.
Hopefully we'll get to go in July.
Today has been better and a bit less cold. At least it was dry for Dodenherdenking this evening. The Dutch have their Memorial day today with 2 minutes silence at 8pm.
Tomorrow is bevrijdingsdag, Liberation Day. Some people have the day off others not. My husband does (once every 5 years), but the company he works for under contract does not, so his colleagues are not happy with him!

Stefan there is a space between the dash and the seven. It was 7C here yesterday. May have been warmer in the balmy (or barmy :wink south but here it was as I said bloody cold.
Watched Dodenherdenking on TV this year instead of going to our local ceremony. had a bit of a fright when everyone starting running. Shades of April 30th last year. Luckily it was nothing terrible (unless you were the one taken ill I guess).
