I was well dissapointed with NRM York, stupid little signs everywhere and couldn`t get a clean shot. Think I will stick with me Hornby. (should read grandsons Hornby). Their latest aquisition is a GWR mail coach, boxed and never been used. I found it on fleabay for them.

I have often played the famous bass bit in that song on my tuba.

Enjoy the wine and Happy Birthday.

I took the day off and guess what?::

It snowed (still snowing) all day. I feel like crying!

P.S. Happy birthday, Tony!

I think the NRM's main problems are that they're now obsessed with "interpretation" and they also seem to have selective blind spots. They're happy to spend millions on Flying Scotsman but won't allow other exhibits to be restored to working order because it would "damage the originality". Never mind the fact that components were replaced all the time in the loco's service life, so it probably has very little of the original remaining anyway!

Mallard is a case in point. There's a good chance that none of the parts on that loco were fitted when it hit 126mph (and nearly melted its bearings in the process), and now they won't steam it because it's too original...

Put Scotsman back together as a static exhibit and get the LMS streamliner running instead. We already have a main line LNER pacific in the shape of Tornado, a streamlined Princess Coronation would be an even bigger draw.

Not sure.

It probably involved someone saying they were leaving Pentax for something "better"...
If you can't say something nice about Pentax, you won't say anything at all.

Apparently.

I'm sat outside in the sunshine typing this Yves.

However things are due to cool down and get a lot wetter - just in time for the biggest jumble sale in the Netherlands. Koninginnedag on Friday when one fifth of all Dutch people will be trying to sell their old stuff to the rest.
I can't face it myself.
My son is doing the TV coverage of the queen and is disappointed with the weather forecast. I hope it stays dry for him.

Thanks all for your felicitations - wine was lovely and joints almost back to full operation this morning - Tee Hee - aren`t you glad you aren`t "miked up" whenever you go out to chat to someone ??

I like this election hoo ha - I`ve earned some useful money doing web surveys and online chats during the silliness.

Brown calls a woman a "bigot" ... not very nice at all. In fact that comment actually make him the bigot - and we have just a few days left of him, maybe it will make people realise what Nu Liebour actually think of the electorate!

At least Cameron only imagines what voters are like:
