Another pointless thread

Dipped the paddle in the river today for the first time and the new camera got a soaking in the rain. Never my intention to get dunked, scared the living daylights out of a treeful of pigeons just before Willy Lott`s cottage. I guess in his day they would have found themselves in the cooking pot. Good deed for the day was rescuing an Egyptian Goose gosling, mum and dad had legged it out of the river to the bank a jump of about half a metre. Poor little offspring slid further down the mud wall each time it tried to join his parents. Wedged the kayak into the bank and offered him a lift on a blade and off he went sheltering under mum`s rump. Never quite know if it`s wise to interfere?

I doubt if the "human" scent will have been transferred by the blade - well done Cedric - my hero !

Kris - unless you've got a confirmed ticket - unlikely. Got to make space for us long haule stranded people . Know it's not been a week yet but begining to feel like an ex-pat ,

My ticket was confirmed and my flight was delayed by a mere 90 minutes due to a broken door fitting. Less than 24 hours after getting to Heathrow I was on a coach trip to Oxford... Photos to follow. K.

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

A short prayer ...

Dear Lord,

In the past year you have taken my favourite action film star David Carradine. Then you took my favourite actress Farah Fawcett, after her took my favourite R&B singer, Teddy Pendergrass and finally my favourite punk Icon Malcolm McLaren.

I just wanted to let you know that my favourite Prime Minister is Gordon Brown

Amen.
