I'll happily do her listening week for her - for her salary of course!

Was she allowed to switch off in disgust or did she HAVE to stick it out (that might be classed as torture) in the name of research.where she does things each day that normal listeners do
I bet she changed channels.

The only reason I listen to R2 is to miss the adverts
on the likes of Smooth FM They do have some
pathetic presenters though

I don't mind R2 aside from Jeremy Vine. He really, really annoys me due to his habits of cutting off callers and deliberately picking callers to slant the debate in the way he clearly decided he wanted it to go before the programme began. Pure tabloidism on the radio.
Otherwise, it can be a bit "OAP choice" but it's now reaching the stage where their target audience's musical tastes were formed in the 60s-80s. In other words before the recording industry took over and force-fed us constant (c)rap!

I never could stand Simon Mayo..... even worse now on R2
with his 3 Worrd! Sentences and confessions
As you would expect from the Beeb their best presenter
(Alex Lester) is on in the middle of the night when
eveyone else is in bed

Radio 2? Isn't that just wall-to-wall Wogan? I haven't listened to it for decades. Radio 4 for me unless "Moneybox Live" comes on and then I cannot turn the radio off fast enough.

I've pretty much given up listening to the radio. I wake up to the Today programme, and fall asleep to Book at Bedtime (or if I'm really unlucky lie there listening to the so called comedy that comes on after it).
I enjoy talk radio but I don't listen to Radio 4 as much now due to the surfeit of TMS. Why can't they stick that over on Radio 4 extra or on Radio 5 - which is supposed to cover sports anyway!
I hardly ever listen to music, whether my own choosing or that of the radio DJ, now. I have got out of the habit, and actually quite enjoy the relative silence I ma now surrounded by.
Only time I listen to music is in the car with my husband - he has to have his iPod on all the time. It drives me bananas and we have a constant battle with the volume control.
He gave me his old iPod (full of his choice in music of course) but it sits on my desk in silence most of the time.

Be very careful listening to the Archers.... someone was on the
other days and they had been listening to the Archers in England
and the house was struck by Lightening...... A year later they were
in France listening to the Archers and that house was also
struck by Lightening
It was on a radio program talking about Bransons house.
