Another pointless thread

Sorry - I no longer find the disturbances a topic for amusement

Both my daughters are involved behind the scenes They are working ridiculous hours - but it has to be done . One worked her normal shift in her usual base on Tuesday - went to another place , worked overnight then back to her own base next day for her usual shift . She may have to work another long shift like that on Friday - depends on the situation by then .

The other one should be on holiday , but is actually on call by phone - and the calls are coming in

With you TT - not funny - especially since my daughter is Metropolitan Police and gay and in the thick of it.................!!

We should be ashamed not amused - we have created this situation by bowing to the tree huggers and the do-gooders and the other softies - now we are paying ( not them ).

Rant subsided

there is absolutley nothing wrong with caring about society and the environment. The rioters are concerned with neither.

The police and other people involved in the cleanup have done a great job and I'm sure you're very proud Tony and TT.

I was watching Jo Frost: Extreme Parental Guidance last night, and thought it was quite telling in light of what's just happened. Basic commonsense in parenting has gone out of the window There's room for toughness AND being caring.

Tony - I'm very proud of both girls - but at this distance I do worry for their safety

Fortunately London seems to be settling

And this is exactly why we don't do politics. It's a pity we didn't see the offending "joke" sooner, but I'll remove it now.
Best regards, John

The visit to IKEA this evening was, how can I put this without the boss killing me?

Tense?

That'll do. We went looking at sinks, fell out, made up, bought other stuff and came home.

I'm begining to think a new kitchen isn't a good idea.
Cheers, HG

thats why I don't gor to IKEA well just twice to look and ended up with loads of shelving to build

Can you cook in the old kitchen - yes or you would starve - so no new kitchen needed.

I learnt long ago harmony is built by only having onedesigner in the house - and of course saying'yes dear' when necessary

I'm getting fed of saying 'yes dear' and would like a little back.

I know what I want in a new kitchen, but so far I'm having to fight to get any of it, ho hum.
Cheers, HG

You can PM me it if you like

As for IKEA, best time to visit is during the week, statistics show that more couples get divorced after visiting IKEA at the weekend
