I love the way that in New York (and possibly other places in the States) you can walk into pretty much any company's building and use the 'bathroom'. I can't imagine that happening here.
Have you not noticed that many public toilets are being closed when there is a supermarket nearby.

TENS machines are wonderful devices. I hope it works for you Tony.

We too saw the sun briefly today, but it is chucking it down and thundering again now. At least the temperature staggered up to 20 for the first time in ages.

We can only hope August is better, and we're all moaning about the heat in a couple of weeks .

We had that all last week, and weekend. Plus 20.5 hours of continuous rain one day. We had three times the normal total July rainfall - in three days .
Don't begrudge me one dry day, and a hint of warmth. Normal service resumed tomorrow.

26.5 according to the car at 20:00.

Been a fantastic summer here. First two weeks of June, then one week cool, then hot, then hot some more, storms, a week of cool, hot again... it's been great. Lake water temperature is over 20 degrees (and that's one worth the name, i.e. 200km from top to bottom). It doesn't get much better than this here!

Even Hammerfest has been warmer than here.

Can you please send some this way?

Had a laugh today, walking down the street with my Scottish uncle, the weather reminded him of Scotch mist....anyway!...sorry I forgot to mention he is as tight as the tightest Scotsman......There we were walking down the street, when a 50p piece fell from his pocket!,he bent down to pick it up and it hit him on the back of the head!

Don't know if that'll work - but according to the thermo in the kitchen, it's still 22C and 23;00. Thankfully, it's getting dark again already, so it means you don't have to fight with sunlight and heat when trying to sleep at midnight...

Anyway, just pushed some warm air southwards from the balcony, so it should be with you in a couple of days

My Physio had my arm twitching so that my hand was moving about on its own - it was great fun to watch (cured my epicondylitis in days), just don't try and drink at the same time.

(thinks--- what part is actually twitching?)

(thinks--- don't answer that!)

Happy Birthday Hannah

Or Honesty, that's her PU name, she's 19 today.

It doesn't seem that long since I rushed her mother to hospital to have her.

Happy 19th Hannah from tozza & joclick - listen to your dad - time really does go that quickly !

I have set the dial at 2 as any more is unbearable and I have two pads on my upper back and two on my left arm.Certainly seems to be easing the trapped nerve and the dead arm sensation.

Sun is out again on Wirral so hoping to make a 3:1 sand cement mix for the patio gaps and then try out my new cleaner attachment for the pressure washer on the path - better than the lance hopefully as that usually covers the whole house and car with mud splashes !!
