Another pointless thread

Sprry to barge in on this thread, but I just had to rant this somewhere.

I decided to go back to the DPreview forums after what seemed to be at least a couple of years. Reasons for not visiting the forums are obvious. I don't know why I did it but logging on back there and then I saw this thread.

I am so happy I found this forum I could cry. It's going to be along time before I go back there and go through the process of sifting through the mud.

Sounds a good idea
Got one from the local Dunelm Mill shop.... amazing shop for household goods

http://www.dunelm-mill.com/

There's a sign in the toilets saying that they save 100,000 Litres
of Drinking Water from the urinals every year!

The egg poachers great.... turns inside out for cleaning which is very easy. Cost £4 (for two) plus £2.50 for a special two forked ladle to lift it in and out of the pan. Says on the label that it keeps your fingers safe from boiling water. OK by me... Perfect poached eggs every time

This is the actual Poachpod, but in red (they do have green) link

The woman on the till said they were selling like hotcakes. I said you don't sell hotcakes..... she said 'Get Out!'

Just in case there's any confusion over this...... I'm only JOKING! They actually use waterless urinals and the water that is saved is the water that they don't use.

I must applaud Dunelm Mill for providing customer toilet facilities on a retail park when all other retailers apart from B&Q don't bother. They will certainly get my business for curtains etc. in future.

I found a really silly one on a related note at the weekend: M&S "Simply Food" with a cafe but apparently no toilets. Generally I thought it was considered good form to provide somewhere for people to empty the waste as well as filling the tank...

It's against the law not to provide toilets for cafe's etc.

Interesting - they must have had them but not bothered to sign them from the cafe then.

I love the way that in New York (and possibly other places in the States) you can walk into pretty much any company's building and use the 'bathroom'. I can't imagine that happening here.
