You mean you can buy READY made burgers Gwyn ????

I`ll give you my recipe for lamburgers if you are interested sometime.

BBQ sounds good though - gone chilly again here - overcast and not very cheerful - test flight being done at Heathrow by BA apparently - so much for Man`s supremacy over Nature - chortle chortle - we`re just babies compared to Her.

We've had a couple of helicopters over this afternoon, most strange after the last few days without aircraft.

Cheers, HG

Recipes always welcome Tony .

KLM did test flights yesterday and repositioning flights today, at normal operational heights. No ash found, no damage found. Lufthansa reported the same.
Th pilots are begging to be allowed to fly.
Can't help wondering if it isn't a bit of a Mexican Flu situation - be over cautious over not a lot.

If it goes on much longer airlines will collapse, and the UK could begin to run out of food.

I don't know about running out of food, but we might have to go back to eating what's in season.

now that I think about it there are planes that fly in desserts and you've sand there and the engines are overhauled twice a year or so but still they fly quite good.

I just realize that the letter I've send to America a Tuesday is still in the Netherlands most likely

If the dust gets too thick, the plane stops working.
Lurking is shirking.!

KLM got two commercial flights, both cargo, out today apparently.

Air space could re-open tomorrow.

KLM also took part in the worst civil aviation accident ever (barring 9/11). Just a thought.

Accident in the aviation sense as in "crash" as opposed to incident, near crash Stefan. I also exclude it as most of the fatalities were not on the planes.

I don't really think we'll run out of food. Bear in mind that we have very reliable ferry links to multiple ports. I could easily see P&O et al saying "most of our ships are freight only until it clears" if the situation required, especially as they make most of their money from freight traffic!

I would have thought it would only be the things which are too perishable to be surface freighted that would disappear. Even they will still be available frozen if possible.
