Then dissolving them in Surgial Spirits to produce a black laquer (black french polish) to renovate pianos would probably turn you apoplectic.johnriley wrote:

By the way, still a useful source of dark shellac, for touching up old camera bodies etc. -45s & 33s are no good as they're made from vinyl.

30 years ago today my youngest son was born.
30 years ago today Bob Marley died. .
A pity my son didn't manage to capture even a tenth of Bob's talent as they passed each other that day.

Well, the presentation went well, both laptops behaving themselves.
To get back off topic, has anybody seen Two Greedy Italians on BBC2?
Pure pleasure, give it a go(on iplayer)

As for sharing birthdays I have the honour of sharing my birthday (not year) with the Marque De Sade and the dishonour of sharing it with Peter Sutcliffe, The Yorkshire Ripper
On a brighter note I also share my birthday with Michael Steele. that rather nice young lady who played bass with the Bangles

My son sadly inherited my singing voice - we sound like a pair of out of tune frogs.
He is a good drummer though.
I share my birthday with Sir Cliff Richard and Sir Roger Moore .

My husband and youngest grandson share a birthday too.
My husband used to date a girl who shared her birthday with her father, sister and brother and no they weren't triplets!

I share mine with Shakespear. He also died on the same date. I wonder if they turned the birthday party into a wake.
