That weather warning from the Met Office was justified . My Bin can stay out on the street till I won't get drowned bringing it back in

had plus degrees for three days in a row! Wow! Summer's nearly here... and I don't care about the rain, either - makes me feel at home

Blue skies and sunshine in Hertfordshire. The lambs are gambolling in the paddock, the squirrels are eating the bird food and the jackdaws have broken their way past the bird guard on the chimney and are busily blocking it up with twigs...

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

Woohoo!! Me small black car passed it's MOT. I really wasn't sure it was going to. I had been trying to work out what to have next, but now the pressure is off.
So you have money to spare! I can see Chris's cash register ringing already.

Sun has come out here too. The jackdaws here have mastered hanging upside down on the bird table so they can get at the food - there is a wire contraption all around it to stop them in theory. If they are that clever they are welcome to the food.

I just got a long awaited parcel from the US. It took a month to get here and I had to pay €22.20 in import duties on something worth €68 . Ridiculous.

I think that is the most pointless statement yet. Well Done!

(oops, just realised you were relating it to another comment.

Pity really, because it sounded like a great opening line).

Pheasant! I have a pheasant visiting daily now

It seems to come for the food other smaller birds throw out of the feeders because they don't like it. I've also put out peauts for it.

I wanted to cook pheasant for christams dinner but we got two ducks instead. They were very good. Probably would have needed four pheasants.

Mmmm, duck...

Had a fish supper last night (that's fish and chips if you don't live in Edinburgh).

And was reminded how bad they are here compared to Whitby and Bridlington!
