George - what use would an out of fashion pair of trousers be?
He can use them as a sleeping bag if they are serious flares .

Here is someone playing with waffle boards. Not doing terribly well though - I can get the front wheel of my Disco higher off the ground than that without the back wheel spinning!

We don't waste drinking time with songs Stefan.

On a sad note, I, along with all but one of the other council employees in Bradford have been issued with a 188 notice.

That means that in 90 days I could be out of a job, still it'll give me more time to take photos.
Cheers, HG

Is that a cover all so they have time to decide who is actually going or do you believe it applies to all. Which ever, sorry to hear that.

Not good news, this has happened to me twice in two decades so my heart goes out to you , you had better start stocking up the drinks cabinet in case the well goes dry.

HG - that is not good news

The more I hear now - the happier I am that I'm out of the employment market. We OAPs have our problems - but besides that sort of thing , they pale into insignificance.

Not good HG.

I hope they change their minds about it. But if they don't I hope you get a really good redundancy package. Fat chance of that I know, but here's hoping.

Bad luck mate.

I went through four jobs in four years - every time I found another job, the company promptly moved to India or Korea. I was getting quite shell shocked.

I have been where I am now for two and a half years and was starting to feel a bit more secure until my manager decided he didn't like me.

HG you and me have the same employer and same notification! Perhaps we should meet up in Saltaire and sell portraits to the masses.

I have received the 188 notice twice in the last 4 weeks. Once because my work is funded by external agencies and yesterday because the Council issued all its staff with one.

Oh well at least I don't have to save up to buy films and process them now I have got sd cards. My veg is in the garden, might have to start on the home brew again

Sorry to hear the news HG - I got "made redundant" twice and "let go" more times than I care to remember - and my home went with the job too !

Make sure you got your health and a glass of wine and you`ll be fine - I`ll drink to that anyway !!
