Just got my new glasses. They will take some getting used to I think. I'm not used to wearing glasses all the time.
The reading glasses seem odd too, but I will get used to them.
I have also ordered a pair of sunglasses too, since the sun is shining and I'm now supposed to wear glasses for driving.

Current lousy weather has my arthritis playing up too.

Getting old is a pain

According to BBC weather we were supposed to be having Sunny Intervals, well the Sunny Interval just showed its face for five minutes and now the Cats & Dogs are back

"Sunny Intervals" - the important information this factually correct but unhelpful statement misses-out is "you'll get completely soaked as soon as you go out the house. But don't worry, there will be a short sunny interval between the rain"
Still shooting in the dark (literally and metaphorically)...

Very windy here, with sun and clouds. No rain yet though, probably waiting until I walk the dogs .

Spending the weekend in Friesland. I must pack warm clothes as well as waterproofs by the look of the forecast. 15C maximum on Sunday and raining. Delightful. Nothing so bleak as the Wadden coast in the rain .

We have the joy of not being able to walk down the road without people thrusting leaflets into your hand. Combined with 'environmental' protesters trying to destroy the town and cause traffic accidents by pouring oil on the road.

And they call it 'the Athens of the North'. Probably because we have the same financial crisis!

Shouldn't that be a ?

Lots of lovely new furniture, of your choosing. Never mind the expense.
Think how great it will look in your newly decorated home.

the loss of the money is very definitely a

But once the room is finished it will be

Actually I'm very lucky - the furniture is being made for me - I've chosen design , altered a few things , chosen the fabrics and it will all be ready and installed by [ they say ] the end of the second week of next month !!

Once it's in I can then start on curtains - three large windows and they will be to the floor
