Not overly fussy above black puddings (slurp of the drink), but a bit of Lancashire cheese now and then doesn't hurt! As for 'ot pot, having it tonight. Had a good joint last night, now must use the left overs (another slurp of the grog). 'Ay, nothing wrong with a tea biscuit, good for soaking up the drippings and whatever. Must go get another wee drop and feed the face. Have a good one all!!

Cheers,

Stephen

Hmm might be a challenge then! On another note then how much grog from now till 2011 then. I could probably keep a small distillery going myself.

OOOOH Lancashire Hot Pot - now it's bad when a lass born and brought up near Leeds admits that she enjoys a good Lancashire Hot Pot .

Haven't had one in years

Techno, probably find the origins of hot pot buried East of the pennines. Some re education needed in this case.

Well as my brother, Middlesex born but living in Yorkshire since he was 18, says of his own sons: Yorkshire Born, Yorkshire Bred, Strong in't arm and thick in't head.

Yes, I'm married to a Lancastrian but he can't help that .

techno, it's time you invested in some individual pots girl and had a go at hotpot and S&K puds for your self. Got a freezer? make a few and freeze 'em.

Is it snowing there yet? I see snow forecast again for you lot oop north.

At present my freezer is full of meat I got in for my husband I'm slowly going through it - and I'm just finishing a 6 week meatless stretch .

From Sunday - back on the meat and I'll carry on using what's there - lots of mince [ beef and lamb ] and good casseroling steak .

I make wonderful soup and freeze that in individual portions

Not a bad swap that.

I tried to get a camera for my wife but the seller refused and she hit me...

...hard...

No snow yet, could be tomorrow, or are these the same weather forecasters who said "BBQ summer" last year?
Cheers, HG
