First BBQ of the year yesterday, although I did have to use the all weather bbq. I put a couple of extra sausages on for today's lunch which I have just had. Very tasty.

Me too .

BBQ summer so hot you'll be longer for winter again, according to a news story I read here in Holland. A Welsh weather forecasting company, the only one to get last summer right, says it will be oppressively hot this summer in the UK.
Maybe I'd better book my hols in the UK now .

Hopefully you'll be generous and share some of it with your eastern neighbours .

Well it may be unscientific, but people I speak to tend to see a link between colder-than-recent-average winters and long hot summers. Given we had snow on the ground for the best part of a month in some places (usually goes within two days!) I'm glad I have an aircon unit handy!

Well it's certainly cold enough for snow here - and I'm told they did have some in East Kilbride this morning [ a few miles away but a good bit higher ]

HG, totally agree with you. Ice age 3 is just as goos as 1 and 2, Sid is not the brightest spark in the fire. I do however adore Ellie`s twin "brothers" they remind me so much of my twin grandsons.

That'll be Virgin that haven't got my bill correct for the last three months then.

Orange are just as bad, I've just received a bill for a FREE phone, silly really as the same phone to buy on pay-as-you-go is £50 less!

it snowed here this morning... but considering there's still around 40cm lying it didn't make much difference.

Hard Hat area here, it's raining cats and dogs.
Bonus - no need to top the pond up or feed the fish.
