Well we thought the house was getting tidier, then my son came home from Uni!

It's back to boxes of stuff everywhere.

Still it's good to have him home, even if he will disappear into his room and only come out for food.
Cheers, HG

Mustn't forget the Zenits, or folders, or...

My sons all moved out years ago, and recently I finally got rid of the last of their stuff to them all.

Or so I thought.

The oldest had to move out of one house a couple of months before the next was available. The furniture went into storage at a friends caravan storage place, but we got the rest, including his computer, some clothes, assorted boxes of goodness knows what, and a kayak.

He moved into his new house just as the sailing season was starting. He had just one day to get it done.
Consequently we have all his stuff here again, probably until October at the earliest.

Back from holiday.

Now importing 850 (!) photographs from the laptop - I think there was a small part of Herefordshire and Mid Wales I missed

Don't worry, I won't be posting them (all)! Although I might be having a rant about dust on sensors and the DA 12-24 in a bit...

Hi everyone, just back from holiday too! Been North of Geordieland and what a crackin place. Need to work me way through zillions of mpixels now, thoughts go out to Flossie. Stayed at Beadnell and what a great place, wicked little bungalow with a great secluded garden. Went rockpoolin every night and used "Rivercam" (Panasonic FT2)used a combination of the K10, K20, DA300, DA300 + Tamron 1.4 TC, 28mm Tony Blair (Miranda), 28-300 tamron and std lens. Saw more Puffins than you could shake a stick at, not just the Farne Islands but Cocquet Island too courtesy of Dave Gray (Puffin Cruises). Dave is a smashing guy and gives a good bit of local history. He reckoned it`s where civilisation began and ended a while later. I could listen to him forever, bit of Dave and Si (Hairy Bikers) in him. I guess there`s a page or three to catch up with here too!

Welcome home both of you. Sounds like you both had a good time.

Deja vu here except it's my garden and our telly. Plus some bloody annoying plonkers playing bad guitar and worse singing at full volume behind us somewhere.
Now where's my vuvuzela

There is no such thing.

Apart from one where the bagpipe player failed to turn up, so they recorded silence instead....

The local cider and beer wasn't bad, either.

This photograph sums their effect...

(I don't quite know how I did that, looks like took the shot whilst rotating the front element to focus... AF Mode was set to Auto & it didn't do that on any otheer shots...)

The music wouldn't be so bad if they could agree which key they were going to sing in. Preferably the same one as they are playing in, but any key they can both achieve would be good.

I retreated indoors when another neighbour decided to turn up the volume on his music too - Lynn Anderson singing I Never Promised You a Rose Garden.
AAAGH.

OMG they are now crucifying Are You Lonesome Tonight.

Pass me those bagpipes.

Or better yet some of that cider .
