Had to look that one up! It's a good day, I've learned something new.

I'm sticking to dog walking, it's safer - and less embarrassing.

Are you one of those borrowing dogs so you can go for walks. There are more people with dogs walking past our window than I've ever seen before!!

So did I, trust me I don’t wear Lycra! I wondered about padded shorts but thought it would look as if I was wearing incontinence pads.

Certainly not, dogs have been dragging my wife or me for walks in all weather since we got our first one 40 years ago. Like you, though, I've noticed an increase in the number of people walking dogs. Lots of families wandering round local fields with their pet pooch - at other times, it would probably be a reluctant parent doing a quick trip round the houses. The dogs must be loving this lockdown!

**For those who have a dog - add a picture of the sleeping pooch to pschlute's 'Rio is bored with lockdown' thread in Your Photos. Rio, Ted, Willow, Dodge, Mabel and Daisy are already there, more welcome.

Has anyone noticed idiots in cars taking advantage of lack of traffic by not bothering to stop, slow down or even check for other traffic at junctions?

Stay safe, all you cyclists, and keep your eyes and brains alert for drivers who aren't using either.

No longer have a dog.
The dogs homes here have almost run out of dogs to adopt since this started. I only hope they don't get all the dogs back again when it is over.

I am possibly the only person in the country who doesn't ride a bike either. Haven't been back on one since dislocating my elbow in a fall. Now would not be a good time to try again.

It is not just recently. The last twenty years has seen an appalling drop in the standard of driving. And we wonder why insurance is so expensive.

I learned to ride on a motorbike in 1978. I was taught not to rely on mirrors when pulling out to overtake on a motorway. That has stuck with me to this day.

Treat everyone as an idiot is the best appoach.

Sorry to hear you're now dogless Gwyn, when you loose an animal you've shared your life with for however long it leaves a hole.

It's three years since we lost our cat and I still miss him, he was and still is irreplaceable.

Sometimes the costs have nothing to do with driving. Motor insurance went up to pay for the claims relating the Torrey Canyon disaster in 1967.

I'm expecting a similar sort of thing to pay for the claims around Covid 19

Even when driving a car, I don't totally rely on my mirrors (most car mirrors actually have very large blindspots!) and always try to look backwards to the right to see if something is overtaking me!
K-3 II, K-3 and a K-70 from SRS (having now relegated the K-30 /"K-50" to a backup body), & some Sigma and Pentax lenses (and a lot of old 35mm gear!)

You would expect car insurance to be cheaper right now seeing as we can’t drive anywhere! My renewal just came through and guess what, it’s gone up significantly. Apparently car insurance is the most competitive field as any Saga investor will be painfully aware.

On a different subject is anyone else sick to death of photographing b****y flowers?!
