Second hand fridges are dirt cheap. His Nibs has a beer fridge in his Man Cave, bought secondhand for €25, it is only 3 years old.

Of course he now wants a bigger one...

Now there's an idea. I feel a visit to Gumtree coming up.

New (used!) fridge bought yet?

Have you been to Aldi to stock it?

I can be over in 2 minutes to check the quality....

Just found a 6 year old bottle of Greengage Gin...

....home made and...

........very nice, very very nice!

That'll do for Christmas day when the kids come over.

Somehow, I kinda doubt that that bottle will last to Christmas Day

Err, it dawned on me that I have a three way fridge in my shed that I bought in July for camping.....mains, 12v and gas. Heaps of Marstons Pedigree bought at Morrison's so film and bottles have a new home.

Greengage Gin? Never tried that. Good job there is a sea between us.
I don't see it lasting to Christmas either.

Glad you found a solution Gary. His Nibs did something similar when his first beer fridge died.

Just persuaded son #3 that he is buying the booze for Christmas this year.

Son #3 just made his mum very happy then. No doubt many glasses will be raised in his favour.

The Blacksheep Brewery have just announced a new premium beer. It's called Legacy25, to commemorate twentyfive years of brewing at Masham. They describe it as "It's a powerful and bold beer with a huge fruity nose". Just like many Yorkshiremen then. Also "At 8.5%, it is great for sharing and enjoying with friends." They must be joking - at 8.5% and over 12 quid for a 750 ml bottle, I wouldn't share it with anyone!

Merry Christmas to all.

Lidl's Rachmaninof vodka is cheaper - £15 for 1l of 40% Pr0of - which one would you choose - go figure!
