The men cook up there TT?

I enjoy preparing food for my better half, but Christmas is her domain.

I do the odd bit and most of the washing up, but she's in charge of the rest and I wouldn't have it any other way.
Cheers, HG

You better believe me - these 3 men are truly inspired cooks Isobel never cooked - she had no need to do more than make coffee or toast - the men have always cooked , the two boys were taught that from an early age and oh my - it has paid off Our Christmas meal will be wonderful.

I'm heading over early for sherry And I caused the daughter-in-law to have a really good laugh - the first she has had for a while , when I said in reply to the come for sherry for the Queen's Speech first " Ooh lovely - thanks - but please not an Isobel glass of sherry " That was a full large wine glass of sherry !! Lou and I both laughed heartily and had a little tear or two

Downside of too many Emirates flights is having to swap air miles for upgrades. So it's business class all the way again this Xmas. Business tickets are up to three times dearer than economy tickets yet the air miles are awarded as a matter of course so best get them used to good effect.

Best put my Pentax string vest on and fly the flag in the front end.

p.s. anyone in the North East area (UK) over Xmas/New Year that fancies a pint (s), pm me and we can meet up.

On a more serious not, sorry, I am just reading of a horrible accident in Glasgow. I sincerely hope none of our Glaswegians or their families and friends are involved. It looks bad.

How awful this incident is, latest reports indicate six deceased and others seriously injured. With streets packed with shoppers it sounds as if there was no chance to avoid the truck. I suppose all we are able to do is to feel the despair of being unable to change the situation and grieve remotely for those suffering loss and injury. Thoughts and prayers to all involved in this tragedy.
Enjoy life

Glasgow seems fated around Christmas, last year the Police helicopter now this. It's bad enough at any time but just now it seems worse some how.

Our thought go out to all those who have lost loved ones in this tragedy.

Christmas eve is here, a time for thanks and prayers, and I'm not religious...

...but a small prayer of thanks for the safety of my loved ones and friends will, as always, be said today.
Cheers, HG

One for the ladies: Liz and I always buy each other a surprise present which is labelled appropriately. This year my gift to her is labelled "Something for after dinner" and is a nice pair of matching tea towels. Does the team think she will appreciate this gift ?

Without knowing your good lady it is difficult to say, but generally speaking you may end up wearing them yourself as bandages

Just back in from Newcastle airport. Wow, warm weather! Trees are bare and the sun is so low in the sky.

Robin Hoods on tv, Basil Rathbone is a star......
