Do Pentax know about this proposed price hike? If this thread is anything to go by there will be a straight choice between a new camera and a can of Boddingtons.

I think I know who will win!

RIP Pentax.

In a moment of weakness and shopping pressure I bought 24 bottles of IKEA lager on Christmas Eve. I was half expecting to have to pour the beer into the bottles, push on the caps and stick on the labels! But I did laugh at the caps with a picture of a bottle opener and the words 'not included' below. A bit 'hoppy' for my taste tbh.

The biggest threat to beer prices in the UK is the idiots who want to impose a minimum price on alcohol.

Why?

Just because some morons get rat a***d and wreck town centres?

The better response would be better policing and control of 'night clubs' that allow clients to get into such a state...

....bottle number 4...
I think the problem is the drinking of the cheap plonk from the supermarkets before going out on the town, at 'night club' prices
not as much drink is sold from the bar except to the odd few who have jobs and money.

First course today Masons Arms Warkworth
This may well be the case but I have to say I was truly shocked at the state of people on the streets at night in Oldham and Bolton and Newcastle on a Saturday afternoon.

Is it just me or are plastic milk bottles becoming very very difficult to open. The whole bottle just seems to screw up like a wet rag whilst the cap remains stuck fast.

It's not just you Stan I'm finding the same.
Also twice recently I've pulled a bottle from one of those multistory trolleys only to have it's neighbour crash to the floor and split.
I don't think they make them like they used to

You should try the plastic top on a Sainsbury's Smoothie bottle
20-30 turns on and off isn't uncommon...... Certainly not
Whitworth thread!

Unusual for Sainsbury's as well their stuff is usually spot on.

You are bored Gwyn - I'm meant to be searching for a new job

I still have my old job but it is time to move on - shame it 's so damn frustrating loading cv's to recruitment sites and filling in all the 'why do you want the job' drivel

Whinge over - back to job hunting

Or maybe I will upload some photo's to flickr instead it may be just as productive (or non productive)

If you had been lucky enough to be in a hotel room you could have dismantled the Corby Trouser Press

You could draw faces of people you don't like on to eggs then then put them in the micro wave and watch them explode
