It is awfully amusing to listen to it tell you to turn at the next junction. For a few minutes at least.
Quite amusing on the ferry too, 'Drive to the nearest road'

Quite similar to telling Sky Demon that your flying when you're in the car. Lots of warnings that you're about to fly into a hill.

I am of the firm belief that sat navs have a very limited lifespan. The one I have at the moment is a Go live 1000 which was a warranty replacement for the same which threw off the coil of life at 11 months. Once I received the new one it was a nightmare to update. It had all my info and login details as the one it replaced but it wouldn`t let me update the map which I had paid for. I like using it more for redirection when the wheels fall off a journey and it`s well useful having it as a speed indicator on the windscreen rather than looking down at the speedometer. If only I could update the wretched thing.

I have the opposite problem: my satnav just won't die. When I got it the kids dubbed it my Happy Meal satnav, so toylike and generally unprepossessing does it look. They are no longer kids ... but the sat nav, with it's B&W 1.5 inch screen goes on ... and on, the maps getting more and more unreliable. Yet I can't ditch it while the female guide, who speaks either American or British English, still draws breath ...

Not bought a beer yet since being back. Reality of it here means a minimum of 5.67 a pint rising to 10.26 a pint in Perth at a "Bavarian" bar!

Hey, it's sunny so it should taste better.....shouldn't it?
Too far from a shore.

Sounds as bad as Norway for beer prices.

The biggest threat to beer prices in the UK is the idiots who want to impose a minimum price on alcohol.

Why?

Just because some morons get rat a***d and wreck town centres?

The better response would be better policing and control of 'night clubs' that allow clients to get into such a state...

....bottle number 4...

I think the problem is the drinking of the cheap plonk from the supermarkets before going out on the town, at 'night club' prices
not as much drink is sold from the bar except to the odd few who have jobs and money.

First course today Masons Arms Warkworth

So Mrs HG opened a packet of posh cheese cracker things, declared "Their stuck and..."

...turned the packet the right way up to get them out...

....and she's only had 2 glasses of wine!
