Where's the "hide under the chair" smiley when you need it!!

OK, I guess that's me on the naughty step, then.

Just peeking out from under the foot for a moment -

I heard the cattle farmers and the Butchers' Federation were jointly sponsoring a beauty contest this year.

The winner to be crowned Miss Steak 2010.

Now I'll get MY hat & coat...

The wardrobes finished and I've upset the wife!

I swapped the bed for a trampoline and she went through the roof....

Thankyou for those groan worthy jokes.

Now I have to get on with sorting out what to take on my hols.

The worst part of a holiday is deciding what to take and packing it. Then throwing half of it out because you packed too much.

At least we are going by car this time so I can be generous in my selection of lenses to take. I may even give the 50-135 an outing, though I doubt it will get used.

I know the feeling. A week in Nowheresville, North Dakota teaching geophysics should give me some chances to take photos. Just the K20D and some lenses? Perhaps throw in the LX, or the ES? Maybe even try another couple of rolls through the Lubitel 2? The joke amongst my friends and acquaintances... Kris, the man who travels with more lenses than socks... This time tomorrow I should have boarded.

You lucky so'n'so Kris.

I look forward to seeing some nice Dakota landscapes when you return.

I see your leaving the light weight Horseman at home, shame on you!

The Horseman is not too bad, the "Titan" tripod it sits on is about the entirety of my baggage allowance.

Not sure what the landscape will be like. I think images of pancakes come to mind!

I too travel with more lenses than socks. Socks you can always wash or if you are really desperate you can buy some new ones. Lenses are another matter entirely.

Have fun in North Dakota, you lucky man. I hope BA strikes and volcanoes do not hinder you at all.

You mean you can't wash a lens and use it more than once...

... I get to go in about five weeks and three days.

And I'm taking a ferry. Doing Hamburg / Oberhausen / Duisburg / Venlo / Eindhoven / Turnhout / Antwerp / Gent / Calais.
The route back is easy and I know it in my sleep: Calais / Gent / Bruxelles / Liege / Köln.

If you can't say something nice about Pentax, you won't say anything at all.

Apparently.
