I seriously went off wine and experimented for a while with all the various types of bottled beers. Not bad, but not exciting really.
Happily my taste for fine wine has returned, thus solving the problem.

Yep, but I had to drink 12 bottles to do it! Oh, the sacrifices I make for my country (HIC)

They're not mutually exclusive you know

Thanks Tony, I'll mull that one over, perhaps over a nice glass or two....

Back from a weekend at Glenshee. Could see a herd of deer on the crest of the hill but too far away to be photographed.
Stopped by the Highland Wildlife Park on the way back. Mainly to see the polar bears and tigers, but the red pandas (firefoxes) were a real surprise and super-cute.
But I am now seriously considering trading in my current system for a CSC. My stuff is to heavy to carry and I'm working on the basis that I'll get better shots with the camera I have with me rather than the one stuck in the hotel!
I'm quite liking a certain (rather expensive but not Leica) system as it has a proper viewfinder. I can't do this arms-length business.

I know what you mean Gareth. I'm getting fed up with lugging a camera, and always having the wrong lens with me, even when I have two in the bag. I admit I was quite envious of someone on the boat with a superzoom camera made by another manufacturer beginning with P.
There were 5 Pentaxes on board btw. Our 2 and 3 others.

Happy birthday Gwyn.
Having finished the Yamaha I now have this to play with...

It's a Mobylette, 1965 vintage and younger than most of my cameras...
