But it's a great thread for light-hearted chatter and every Board needs one of them

When people come across a sign saying "Wet Paint" why do they feel compelled to touch the painted surface. :

Why when people are given a plate and told that it's hot as its just been under the grill do they also touch it.

Imagine what they would do with hot, wet paint!

So, about to spend the weekend putting in a new bathroom at the flat. Well at least pulling out the existing one to see what's underneath.

(I'm leaving the k*****n until later).

But since autumn has started in Edinburgh (just in time for the Mela) I don't feel I'll be missing out too much.

Anyone got any plans (other than rehydration)?

Early Sept a weekend in Whitby then later in the month 4 days in Lowestoft

Just spent £130 on a rear suspension spring for the car. Mrs Snap says caused by the weight of my equipment and bloody speed bumps

Off to Norway again at the end of the month, then back home for three days and off to the UK in October for a wedding. Going skankyferry (DFDS) this time rather than P&O and their lovely lounge.

Trying to decide if we can squeeze in a couple of days away before then too .

Yes we should be painting the house and doing three million other jobs, but who cares??

May go out for the day on Sunday, if the weather is good. It's our 38th wedding anniversary. Cripes, that makes me feel old . Yes I was a child bride .

Just got to work out how to help fix an issue with my parent's camper van engine before Monday as they need to use it

I expect more beer will help me work out if it is an electrical issue or vacuum cotrolled valve issue and if it doesn't at least I will be pisssshhhhhed and pointless

....and totally in keeping with the thread...

.....just back from Lancaster, again, and cursing slow despatching sellers on a certain website.

I ordered a new air filter for the Yam last saturday, everything else ordered after it has arrived, but not the b***** filter...

...and that's what's holding up getting an MOT on the bike for use!!!

All bathroom installers should be shot!

Had to remove in effect, two bathrooms as the feckless installers who put the last one in did the laziest most ridiculous job possible. They ignored the damp and rotten floors, and installed tiles with blobs of grout on a wet plasterboard wall!

Except the ones which they installed OVER the existing tiles.
And the floor tiles hadn't even been cemented. They were just lying on top of the existing floor!

(Rant over.)

(Grrr)
