Perhaps you haven't used a sufficient quantity and quality of profane language, the sort to make a trooper blush ?

Soak in hot water, the cylinder not your hand. Surprising what dunking from boiling hot to iced cold water can free off. Especially after a good soak with "Plus Gas" or Diesel. Don`t be tempted with WD 39 & 2 1/2`s or petrol. Keep the pipe attached so you can apply a SMALL amount of oomph. Too much and you could end up eating the piston rod and seals. Before you try all this though make sure the open end of the cylinder is clean from muck, bullets and corrosion. I would drink to help you with this but the flipping bottle must have emptied itself.

Sadly a known side effect of the use of a knocking stick

And another known side effect of the knocking stick best cured with liquid pain killers but I guess you have experience of this cure HG

This starts of a being great advice let down only by the school boy error of running out of alcohol

An error I made only this week but now the Tesco delivery dude has turned up I am once again greasing the wheels of brain cell destruction

Gwynn, sad and difficult times ahead for all. Remember you are among friends on here. Don`t reckon there are many that are untouched by times like this. We need someone to come up with a virtual hug. Come on you developers!
Enjoy life

Something very odd has happened.

It's Saturday (which isn't especially odd as it seems to be Saturday at least once a week) but it isn't raining and my plane wasn't broken!

So I have spent the afternoon flying. Which is good. And I've come home to an empty (thereby quiet) house which is also good. And I'm going out so see a blues band tonight as part of the Jazz and Blues festival. Which is really good.

It takes me back to my youth. When Saturdays were a time to enjoy yourself. Not clean, shop, taxi children, argue with in-laws, etc.

Long live Saturday!
